We need to learn to walk by faith, not by sight. So often, if we go by sight, things don't look so hopeful, but when we change our sight to faith, it just seems to look a little more hopeful. Time seems to move swiftly after we reach a certain age. People change, styles change, but that one thing that should not change is our faith in a God who never changes.
Life has taken on a new meaning as we grow older and hopefully wiser than we were before. Those things that at one time seemed impossible have truly revealed themselves now. Although we couldn't see them then, faith said we would see them, and we have.
Many of you reading this today have also seen those things come to pass as well. Doors that seemed closed and locked with no entry have now been opened, and places we never thought we would be, here we are. Our church in Bremen GA is a testament to this truth.
I always find myself thinking back to the feed store, and what a learning experience that place was for our worship community in West Georgia. I remember walking into that building all those years ago and seeing just an empty building with nothing. For the first time, my spiritual eyes took me to a place I had never been. As a young church, we had nothing but a handful of people who truly believed in the dream.
Many of those original people have passed on, and after twenty-two years, a new group of people didn't get to experience those learning years. While those who have been with me on the journey got to see those things happen that can only strengthen one's faith.
But I find now, after all those years, my eyes can still be opened to brand new possibilities. See, God hasn't stopped providing, my friends; at times, it is us who have stopped looking. Five moves later, I still find myself going back to that feed store experience where truly our faith was fed.

So today, perhaps it's time to focus on allowing our eyes to see those things we cannot physically see and truly believe that we shall see them. Or we can allow the scales of doubt to shut our vision and hopelessly wonder, not expecting anything. It's our choice today, my friends.
As I often say, after we moved into building number 2 some years ago, a glimpse of building number 3 seemed to show up in my spiritual eyes. Yes! I'm open to the possibilities because the God we serve has an endless supply.
