Along your climb, you will hear many naysayers or those who perhaps used to run well tell you there's no need to try, that it's hopeless. Don't listen to that either. Keep putting one foot in front of the other.
Those hopes and dreams aren't just something made up in your head; they are as much a part of you as anything else. Small steps will eventually turn into a stride that will help you pass the naysayers, and the end results will be your victory moment.
Those old feelings of "what if I can't do it" can be transformed into "look what I finally did." Remember that today as you keep climbing. This race will soon be over, but for now, get your focus back on the victory in finishing, not the roughness of the climb.
